Water-Repellency - In order to create less overall drag in the water, the Finis HydroSpeed 2 fabric consists of a light-weight, hollow-core SCALEX fabric, which absorbs less water than traditional materials. The embossed, scale-like finish re-directs and wicks away water from the surface of the kneesuit, effectively turning the body into a hydro-dynamic torpedo.
Smart Compression - The hollow core Scalex fabric offers comfortable compression against the body. The engineered material holds and presses muscle groups effectively, reducing oscillation and focusing all the power from the muscle in the intended direction without restricting movement. The suit is made of various different iso-panels that target certain specific compression levels for different muscle groups. The smart compression also helps reduce buildup of lactic acid and additionally nerve senses are heighted. The result of all of this is that it allows the athlete to be more aware of their body position and technique. Ultimately it helps you to swim further and faster for longer.
Durability - Most swimmers will have more than one race per season and the FINIS development team wanted to design a swimsuit to last longer than other similar racing suits. To accomplish this they've used a stronger, double-layer material and flat-lock stitches. The HydroSpeed 2 guarantees durability without having to increase the weight of the suit.
